Stage 1A of the fence was begun and completed in January 2025! (see the gallery tab).
We have applied for funding to retrofit the Gorge Fence with pest proof wire mesh. If successful we can move onto the next phase of restoring the forest - pest removal!
The whole of the approx. 3.4km north-western aspect of the reserve is now secure from wallaby, and other browsing mammal, incursions.
If you are willing and able, please donate $5, $10 or any sum you wish to help us close the gap and keep those pesky wallaby out of our native forest - see the donation tab above.
The ecological restoration and continued protection of Studholme Bush Scenic Reserve that results in a flourishing native, self-sustaining, predominantly forest ecosystem with supporting native habitats.

Eliminate mammalian browsers - namely wallabies, goats and pigs - and manage introduced predators accordingly through a community run trapping program.
